# Employer applications

If you’re applying for a SKILLcard on behalf on an employee, the process is easy and straightforward.

All you need to do is:

- Identify which SKILLcard your employee should apply for. You can check using our [card finder](https://www.skillcard.org.uk/find-the-right-card-for-you).<https://www.skillcard.org.uk/employer-skillcard-applications#_msocom_1>
- Set up an account and complete the [online application](https://app.skillcard.org.uk/#/page/account/login) using a web browser, not a mobile or tablet device; remembering to include copies of course/examination certificates and a photograph. As an employer, you will need to complete the Employer’s Endorsement section and pay the card fee.
- Providing the applicants meet the criteria, we will aim to have the new smart SKILLcard with you within 10 working days.

We will write to you to remind you when your workforce’s SKILLcards are within 8 weeks of their renewal date.
